7. Ja Morant, 21, Memphis Grizzlies
If you didn’t know Ja Morant before the NBA Playoffs, there’s a good chance that you know who he is now. Even though the Memphis Grizzlies didn’t pose much of a threat in the playoffs, he did have a memorable showing.
In the first round against the Utah Jazz, Morant averaged 30 points, eight assists, and five rebounds per game on 48 percent shooting from the field. He’s an absolute stud and a budding superstar in this league.
If the Grizzlies can find the right pieces to play beside him, there’s no question that this team could potentially develop their way up the Western Conference standings. And with Morant leading the way, this team should feel very confident about that.
