10. New Orleans Pelicans – Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor

With whispers that there could be some dysfunction inside the New Orleans Pelicans locker room, it’ll be interesting to see their approach heading into the 2021 NBA draft. Could this be a place where we could see a trade early come? Absolutely, but for the time being let’s assume that the Pelicans are going to make a selection.

With the No. 10 pick, I have the Pelicans taking one of the most NBA-ready prospects. Davion Mitchell out of Baylor would fit the bill and would certainly help the Pelicans immediately.

Mitchell is a good leader and a player that they could stick into the rotation from day one and he would at least help in terms of added depth. There are questions about his potential and his ceiling, but I don’t think those are fair questions to ask regarding Mitchell. At least not yet.
