9. Sacramento Kings – Jalen Johnson, F, Duke

If there’s one thing I know about the Sacramento Kings heading into the 2021 NBA draft, it’s that they’re going to do something that no one really expects. It’s been the MO for the Kings over the last few seasons and I believe they will do the same at this year’s NBA Draft.

That’s why I have Jalen Johnson, an interesting wing prospect out of Duke, being selected here at No. 9. Even though he is one of the most talented players in this draft, he failed to prove that during his freshman season at Duke.

That’s the biggest reason why he could be selected anywhere from inside the top 10 to outside the lottery. At least for right now, he’s one of the biggest boom-or-bust prospects that in this year’s class.
