Why the Miami Heat shouldn’t trade Tyler Herro after all.
It’s amazing how quickly circumstances in the NBA can change. The latest example of just that is the situation between the Miami Heat and Tyler Herro.
A month ago, it was reported that there was a “75 percent” chance that the Heat was going to trade Herro this offseason. Even though there’s still a chance that he could be moved ahead of the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, I believe due to a change in circumstances that it would be surprising if he was moved.
Of course, there are some exceptions. If an all-star becomes available between now and the start of the season, this could all change and I’m sure Pat Riley wouldn’t hesitate to trade Herro for a certain caliber of player.
I believe, at this point in the offseason, Miami is planning on keep Herro. And if Herro can turn it around with the “culture” roster that the Heat has assembled, then I’m sure there are much bigger questions to ask regarding Herro.
However, heading into the new season there are three reasons why I don’t believe the Heat is planning on trade Herro now.
