I wouldn’t put it past Masai Ujiri and the Toronto Raptors to try and get in on the Ben Simmons sweepstakes. They have the ammunition to put together an interesting package. Especially if the Sixers are interested in Pascal Siakam being the main ingredient in a deal, Fred VanVleet does make some sense.

He’s a dynamic scorer and can hold himself on the defensive end and throwing in Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa could add to the intrigue – of course, along with some needed draft compensation.

This likely isn’t the strongest offer that the Sixers may get on the open market but absolutely one that they should consider if it comes across the table. Simmons would get a fresh start in Toronto and Ujiri would get a new star to build around.
