The offseason acquisitions of DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball appear to have worked as the team got off to their first 4-0 start in a quarter-century. They have lost since then, but that should rain on the quick start that this team has gotten off to.

The concern for this team is that the injury bug has already begun to bite this franchise as Zach LaVine is playing through injury and it appears that they have lost Patrick Williams, a starter for the team, for the remainder of the season.

The injury to Williams is concerning and will hurt their depth and rotations. The hope is that it’s not one that will nuke their season and that they should be able to adjust and survive. Though, it’ll be interesting to see how this team responds over the next couple of weeks.

Call me crazy, but I believe this team is more trick than treat.
