Los Angeles Lakers: 3 mid-season trade targets to help salvage the season
Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings
Why the Sacramento Kings would want to make a big trade with the Lakers is beyond me, especially after the Buddy Hield trade from the offseason fell through, but Harrison Barnes would drastically help the Lakers this season. If they could find a way to pry him away from Sacramento.
Like every other player in this piece, Barnes is a free agent after next season. Right now, his trade value might be the highest it’s ever been and the highest that it’ll ever be – Barnes is averaging 19 points and seven rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Barnes would help solidify this team’s starting 5 and would help take some pressure off of the supporting cast that, simply put, hasn’t lived up to its billing so far this season. A lot of that has to do to unavailability, but at this point, excuses don’t help the Lakers any.
