After acquiring DeMar DeRozan, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso, the Chicago Bulls were expected to take a big step forward this year. Not too many people thought they would be 17-10 and second place in the East a third of the way through the season.

One of the big things the Bulls lack though, is postseason experience. This will end up hurting them, although DeRozan has been playing out of his mind this year and has made the Conference Finals before, and yes, Caruso has won the NBA Finals with the Lakers, that’s really all the playoff experience this young Bulls team has.

Can they rely on DeRozan to get them past the first round at least? Until that question is answered, the Bulls are the third-best team in the conference. It should also be interesting to see how they manage this COVID-19 situation.

Verdict: Third-best team in the East
