After a most recent report, which suggested that Paul George and Kawhi Leonard may be shut down for the remainder of the season, there’s a strong chance that the LA Clippers could emerge as sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline.

In fact, they probably should. Even if George and Kawhi both return toward the end of the season, the Clippers would not be one of the favorites in the conference. They likely don’t have enough time to get back in rhythm and would rush to possibly make a run to the second round of the playoffs.

I know that sounds like a loser mentality, but the Clippers need to be realistic here. This has been a lost season from the start and it’s time they operate that way. It would be malpractice if they didn’t make a trade or two ahead of the deadline that indicated this team was a seller.
