Los Angeles Lakers trade target: Josh Richardson

Through the first half of the season, it’s safe to say that Josh Richardson hasn’t been the player that perhaps the Boston Celtics thought he could be with the team. So much so that it would be surprising if they didn’t explore trading him at the deadline.

Richardson is an expiring contract after next season and there’s no guarantee that he’s going to be part of this team long-term. He’d certainly be an addition to the Lakers on the defensive end and is good enough of a shooter where he could help offensive off LA’s stars too.

The Lakers could probably slot Richardson into the starting shooting guard position and he wouldn’t need the ball in his hands to be all that effective. Of course, this would all rely on the rivals being able to agree to a deal.
