NBA Trade Rumors: 9 big names who should be traded and possible deals

Potential deal: 

Portland Trail Blazers get: Ben Simmons 

Philadelphia 76ers get: CJ McCollum, 2024 first-round pick, 2026 first-round pick 

This is probably a deal that I’ve been calling for to take place for the past few months, ever since it was reported that Ben Simmons reportedly wanted out of Philadelphia. It still hasn’t happened, for one reason or another.

It’s certainly one that should take place at the deadline, though. For the Blazers it makes a ton of sense since they will get some excitement back into the franchise and will help appease Damian Lillard.

A new start for Simmons is exactly what he needs and there may not be a better situation for him than getting to play with Lillard. He’s the type of player that would take the pressure off Simmons, from a shooting standpoint, and would help rejuvenate the franchise.
