Potential deal: 

Sacramento Kings get: Kevin Porter Jr., Jae’Sean Tate, John Wall, 2023 first-round pick (via Brooklyn), 2024 first-round pick (top 10 protected)

Houston Rockets get: De’Aaron Fox, Tristan Thompson 

In what could end up being arguably the most unpopular of hypothetical trades, I decided to send De’Aaron Fox to the Houston Rockets in a deal for two young wings, John Wall as a filler, and two first-round draft picks.

The Kings would promptly buy out Wall’s contract and would get two young players that could help rejuvenate Sacramento along with two quality draft picks. Fox needs a change of scenery and the Kings probably need a fresh start too.

The Rockets would make a big move for a player they believe has superstar potential in Fox and would get a strong playmaking guard that would fit next to Christian Wood and Jalen Green.
