Victor Oladipo can take some pressure off of Tyler Herro

Assuming that Oladipo is going to be on the second unit opposite of Tyler Herro, there’s some pressure that is going to come off the expected Sixth Man of the Year. Even though we don’t know which version of Oladipo we’re going to get when he returns, he’ll be able to help on at least a small level.

Oladipo is going to command attention every time he’s on the floor and could even help in terms of ball-handling and playmaking. He will also help the team’s defensive front on the second unit and teams won’t be able to hunt anymore.

A lot of expectation falls on how Oladipo looks when he makes his debut, but the early indication is that he looks good in workouts. If he’s even 80 percent of what he was or even the version that the Heat saw last season in the handful of games he played in, there’s no question he can add some dynamics to the bench unit.
