Indiana Pacers trade grade: B

Caris LeVert is an expiring contract after next season. With the way the franchise is headed – toward a rebuild, or at the very least a retooling – the Pacers were likely going to trade LeVert this offseason or next season.

The fact that they were able to snag a first-round pick, even though it won’t be high, is the real reason why the Pacers get a passing grade. They also didn’t have to take on any salary, so that’s also a win for the team that’s heading into an overhaul.

The addition of two second-round picks is a bit of icing on the cake.

As a whole, especially considering that LeVert really didn’t have much of a future with the team, the Pacers come out with a passing grade with this deal overall.
