NBA Trade Deadline bold prediction No. 8: The Los Angeles Lakers will do nothing

The Los Angeles Lakers are kind of stuck. They are 9th in the Western Conference standings and don’t appear to have much hope of turning their season around. Even when healthy, the Lakers have left much to be desired.

Russell Westbrook is all but a bad fit and even though LeBron James continues to play at a high level, it doesn’t seem to have much of an impact on the rest of the roster. Heading into the trade deadline, I’m sure the Lakers would love to make a big move.

In the end, however, I don’t really see this team doing much of anything. They don’t have many assets and even less flexibility. The Lakers will do nothing at the trade deadline, which will come as a shock to the fan base.
