Dallas Mavericks

It may not be a popular take, but I absolutely love what the Dallas Mavericks did at the trade deadline. Not only did they add some reinforcements for Luka Doncic but they also rid themselves of Kristaps Porzingis who was never a great fit for the Mavs.

The additions of Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans should help take some of the offensive pressure off of Luka Donic especially after the injury sustained by Tim Hardaway Jr. Hopefully, Dinwiddie will be a better fit for Luka than Kristaps was. And, quite frankly, the bar isn’t that high for that to be so.

The Mavs didn’t make the big move that I had hoped they would make, but this is just enough to help this team take even just a small step forward. With a few more pieces, it’ll be interesting to see how far Luka can take this team.
