Washington Wizards: C+

It feels almost impossible to grade the Wizards’ deadline. First, they moved on from Montrezl Harrell, only getting back Vernon Carey Jr. and Ish Smith in return. That price feels insanely low, as Harrell could have gotten at least a couple of second-rounders on the open market.

Now, to the most consequential move, sending out Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans while bringing in Kristaps Porzingis in return. Moving off of both Dinwiddie and Bertans is a good idea, considering their salaries and Dinwiddie’s lack of fit with the Wizards’ core and Bradley Beal.

However, what does Porzingis add to this team? It seems like the Wizards are planning to make a push once again with this core, now inserts Kristaps into the mix. If not this season, they’ll look to get the 8th seed once again next time around, refusing to undergo a full rebuild and trading Beal.
