Buying LeBron James’ commitment to the Lakers

The biggest reason why there’s a good chance that we should take LeBron at his word is that he’s 37 years old. For as great as he’s been this season, I’m not sure LeBron would really want to hit the restart button AGAIN this late in his career.

He’s already playing next to one of the other 10 best players in the league, so I’m not really sure how his situation can get all that better. Right now, it’s hard to find a team that would really be all-in on trading all their assets for LeBron – as crazy as that sounds.

LeBron does not want to restart this late in his career and if he would, there’s a good chance that he would end up with a worse roster. As bad as it seems, LeBron’s best chance at another title may very well be with the Lakers.
