Three reasons why the Milwaukee Bucks should be able to survive without Khris Middleton in the first round of the playoffs against the Chicago Bulls.
During the latter portion of the season, the Milwaukee Bucks looked like a team that was beginning to round into shape. They were healthy, playing at a high level, and were starting to look like a worthy candidate to repeat as NBA Champions.
However, as is almost always the case for champions looking to accomplish the daunting task of repeating, there’s going to have to be some overcoming that the Bucks are going to have to do.
During the team’s Game 2 loss against the Chicago Bulls in their first-round NBA Playoff series, Middleton left the game with a knee injury. He was officially diagnosed with an MCL sprain. He’s expected to miss at least Games 3 and 4, and will likely miss the remainder of the series. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Perhaps the Bucks may not be able to win the title without Middleton in the lineup, however, this is a talented veteran team that should be able to survive in the first round of the playoffs without Middleton against the Bulls. We explore three of the biggest reasons why.
