Jalen Brunson, free agent

Over the past two years, Jalen Brunson has made huge strides in his game with the Dallas Mavericks. Playing next to Luka Doncic makes that a bit easier, but there’s no question that Brunson is about to make a ton of money in free agency this summer.

And it won’t be an easy decision for the Dallas Mavericks to make. There’s a chance Brunson could make max or close to max money this offseason. Does Dallas want Brunson to be the “other” max guy next to Luka? That’s not as easy as a decision as it seems.

Is a duo of Luka and Brunson a good enough foundation for the Mavs to build around moving forward? If Dallas’ answer to that question is no, then perhaps there’s a small chance that the Knicks would be able to pry Brunson away from the Mavs. And there has already been reported interest on New York’s part.
