NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring the pros and cons of trading Donovan Mitchell should the Utah Jazz elect to do so this offseason.

The Utah Jazz didn’t have a terrible season, but losing in the first round of the NBA Playoffs still feels like somewhat of a disappointment for this team. Especially with the dynamic duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

So much so, that it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if the heat was turned on a bit this summer for the Jazz. In fact, it seems like that has already begun.

During Mitchell’s five seasons with the Jazz, they’ve only made it out of the first round of the playoffs twice and have lost in the first round three out of the last four years. With how the Jazz has fared recently in the postseason, it feels more and more like this duo of Mitchell and Rudy Gobert has reached their ceiling.

If that is indeed the case, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Jazz elected to trade one of them during the offseason. In what will be the first of a two-part series, we explore the pros and cons of the Jazz trading Mitchell this summer.
