Miami Heat

It may seem a little strange to see Mo Bamba as a player that the Miami Heat would be interested in this offseason but with the way the team struggled with the Boston Celtics, it just makes too much sense.

If Bamba is truly going to be shopped this offseason, specifically at the NBA Draft, the Heat should explore the idea of it. But before, the Heat has to figure out if they foresee Bam Adebayo as a 4 or 5. Right now, his best position is probably the 5. But that’s mostly because he can’t shoot 3’s. If he can add that to his repertoire this offseason, he would feast as a 4. You know he can guard any position; the lack of a 3-point shot and a true center that he’d fit next to on the roster are the two things that prevent him from playing the 4.

Those can both be eliminated this offseason if the Heat (and Bam) want it to. If Bam invests time in his jump shot, the Heat should explore a more defensive-minded rim-runner. Perhaps that could be Bamba?
