9. San Antonio Spurs – AJ Griffin, F, Duke
Like the Indiana Pacers, the San Antonio Spurs are another team that was intrigued by Keegan Murray. Short of the Spurs trading up into the top 5, it’s unlikely that he’ll still be around when they select at No. 9.
Another wing that could make sense for the Spurs at this point in the draft is AJ Griffin. He’s coming off a productive season at Duke and has drawn some incredible comparisons as he’s continued to rise up draft boards.
He translates as an immediate 3-and-D threat and could be so much more if he developed in a healthy system. And that’s exactly the opportunity he’ll have with the Spurs.
