Kevin Durant: Which team, Heat or Suns, give KD the best option to win

Exploring which team, the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat, would give Kevin Durant the best chance of winning an NBA championship.

The big-name free agents have gotten theirs so far this offseason, which is not really a surprise to anyone. However, for the most part, the offseason has been on pause to a certain extent with the news that Kevin Durant has requested a trade away from the Brooklyn Nets.

At least thus far, the only two teams on his preferred destination wishlist are the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. There is a chance that his preference list could expand, but that’s at least what we know now.

Of the two teams that Durant (at least reportedly) wants to go to, the Suns and Heat, it’s interesting to speculate on what those final rosters could look like before the start of the season and which of them would give Durant the best chance of winning a championship.

In doing that exercise, we’ll explore which would give Durant the best chance of winning next season.
