1. Phoenix Suns
Potential tradable assets: Deandre Ayton (S&T), Mikal Bridges, Landry Shamet, Cameron Payne, Cameron Johnson, multiple first-round picks, pick swaps
From all indications, the Phoenix Suns are where Kevin Durant wants to be. They’re the No. 1 team on his wishlist and it’s pretty clear that he wants to play with Devin Booker and Chris Paul. He believes the Suns give him the best chance to win a championship.
The big question is if they can put together a package that appeases enough to the Nets. There’s no guarantee that they can, though. The big question is whether or not the Nets would see Deandre Ayton as a centerpiece. If so, a deal should be able to come to fruition. If not, a third team would almost be necessary.
The good thing is that the Suns have draft capital. That’s a must to even get a conversation started. If Durant truly wants to be in Phoenix, I have a hard time believing that it won’t eventually happen.
