5. Boston Celtics

Potential tradable assets: Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Robert Williams, Grant Williams, multiple first-round picks, pick swaps

If the Boston Celtics wanted, they could have already completed a trade for Kevin Durant. However, it seems like they’re entirely content in not having to unload their treasure chest of assets for the perennial all-star.

The Celtics probably have the best star player that the Nets could realistically get in any deal in Jaylen Brown, and Boston still has plenty of other productive young players that they could also throw in an offer, including multiple first-round picks and the option for pick swaps.

Of course, the big question is whether or not Durant would give Boston the OK to go and get him. I’m not so sure, especially considering that he’s good friends with Kyrie Irving. And we all know how Kyrie’s time in Boston ended. Not great.
