Free Agency options

The Miami Heat may not have many remaining options after losing on P.J. Tucker, but they could try to go shopping for a starting power forward in the bargain bin. Here are a few options:

Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony had a quiet season with the Los Angeles Lakers last season and it would be somewhat surprising if he didn’t re-sign. Though, the Lakers could be looking to get young and that could open the door for Melo to leave. Melo has been linked to the Heat before and perhaps this is finally the season where it comes full circle.

T.J. Warren

T.J. Warren is probably the team’s best option in the free-agent market, but he missed practically all of last season after suffering back-to-back stress fractures in his foot. He’s still only 28 years old, but there is some belief that he may already have played the best basketball of his career.

Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin isn’t exactly a great option for the Heat, but if they get desperate he’s absolutely a player that they could target. I’m not sure how much he has left in the tank at age 33 but he did show some promise at certain points last season.
