Target John Collins via trade

As the Atlanta Hawks continue to try and retool the roster around Trae Young, John Collins is a player that very much remains on the trade block. The Hawks already revamped their backcourt and will likely be looking to trade Collins at some point this offseason.

Pulling off a trade for Collins could prove to be more difficult for Miami to pull off considering it would require tangible assets to get done, but it could be worth it if the team loses out on Durant and, eventually, Mitchell.

The Hawks have been making win-now moves so any deal for Collins would likely require a player that could be inserted in the rotation to some extent. One player that could fit the bill is Duncan Robinson. Of course, that’s assuming the Hawks view him as a positive asset.

With how Robinson has fallen out of grace in Miami, I’m not sure that’s something the Heat can bank on. If the Heat wanted to make a splash this offseason after missing on their other whales, Collins would be an ideal next target.
