11. Sacramento Kings

For what feels like the first time in a long time, the Sacramento Kings may have hit a home run with their top 5 draft pick. Like, a huge home run. Thus far in NBA Summer League, Keegan Murray, who the Kings selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, looks like the best player on the floor.

Add Murray to De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Davion Mitchell and the Kings have somewhat of a core moving forward? I’m still not sold on Mitchell and Fox as long-term building blocks and Sabonis is a big in a league that is quickly moving away from the position, but it’s something that Sacramento will have to figure out.

The Kings have the chance to be interesting this season but considering how deep the West is shaping up to be, it’s hard for me to put them ahead of any of the top 10 at the moment. Perhaps that changes during the regular season, especially if Murray can translate his outstanding summer league showing to the real season.
