Notable moves: Drafted Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren, acquired Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks, traded Jerami Grant

Of all the rebuilding teams in the league, there’s not an offseason I loved more than what the Detroit Pistons have managed to put together so far this summer. And it all began at the 2022 NBA Draft after the team came away with Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren.

Ivey and Duren could end up being two cornerstones for the franchise and if they do, this will be an offseason that will be looked back on fondly. The Pistons also managed to acquire quality veteran players Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks.

Heading into the next season, the Pistons have a strong core of Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Ivey, and Duren. The Pistons may still end up losing quite a bit of games next season but the future is bright. And I’m not really sure when was the last time we said that.
