Miami Heat

Notable moves: Drafted Nikola Jovic, lost PJ Tucker, re-signed Victor Oladipo

After falling one game short of another NBA Finals appearance, the Miami Heat didn’t really need to do much this offseason in order for it to be considered a success. However, the fact that they’ve done practically nothing so far this offseason is quite concerning.

They managed to re-sign Victor Oladipo which is good, in a way, but losing PJ Tucker (and to the Philadelphia 76ers) could end up being extremely costly in the long run. They don’t have a starting power forward currently and spent most of their offseason trying to acquire Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell. Those efforts have resulted in nothing so far.

There’s a good chance that the Heat will enter next season with the same exact roster as last season minus Tucker. Miami may have been the No. 1 seed in the East last season but I have a hard time believing this team can be a top 3 team next season.
