Notable moves: Acquired Rudy Gobert

The Minnesota Timberwolves made the splash of the offseason when they acquired Rudy Gobert in a blockbuster deal. And while there weren’t many around the league that agreed with the Wolves’ move, you have to credit that this franchise has decided to go all-in with this core.

The Wolves gave up their future for a shot at making a deep playoff run on the backs of D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Edwards, and Gobert. It may not be as talented a group as Golden State or Los Angeles, but it certainly adds an interesting element to the Western Conference.

Part of getting a passing offseason grade is effort. And so far this season, you can’t fault Minnesota for that. The Wolves have tried to improve the roster this offseason and have succeeded.
