Notable moves: Re-signed Deandre Ayton

The Phoenix Suns avoided a near colossal disaster this offseason by matching the offer sheet that Deandre Ayton signed with the Indiana Pacers. If the Suns would’ve ended up losing Ayton for nothing, I’m not really sure how the Suns would’ve recovered.

Nevertheless, after missing out on Kevin Durant there really wasn’t more for the Suns to do. And at this point, I’m not really sure how they could practically improve before the start of the season. Nevertheless, this is a team that could still be considered a contender.

Even though they flamed out toward the end of the season, an argument could be made that an injury to Devin Booker is what really derailed the season. If that is indeed true, there’s really not much stopping this team from making another championship run.
