Charlotte Hornets

Notable moves: Lost Miles Bridges (legal matters), drafted Mark Williams

In fairness to the Charlotte Hornets, a lot of their loss this offseason was due to no doing of their own. That said, the Hornets are likely going to take a step back this season. As bad as a person Miles Bridges appears to be, he was a really good player for the team. It will be hard to replace that quickly.

Though, the good news is that the Hornets did finally (hopefully) get their big of the future in Mark Williams. He is far from a finished product and he may not even contribute much during his rookie season, but he is a player that they could develop over the next couple of seasons.

The hope is that LaMelo Ball can make another jump in his development and that he can help make the Hornets one of the most exciting teams in the league again next season. Though, not making any other major moves this offseason will hurt the team’s realistic chances of making the postseason next season.
