John Collins, Atlanta Hawks

At one point during the offseason, it seemed as a foregone conclusion that the Atlanta Hawks were going to trade John Collins. However, after acquiring Dejounte Murray, it seems like some of that narrative has gone out the window. Perhaps they’re going to give this new trio a try?

In fact, it would be foolish not to. Nevertheless, much like the Cavs, if the Hawks get off to a slow start, perhaps they would be more inclined to entertain the thought of shopping Collins again. He’s a good player that is still growing as a player.

If the Hawks were to truly shop Collins, there should be a healthy market for him. He struggles defensively, but that’s something that could improve depending on the scheme and overall defensive effort.
