Gordon Hayward, Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets took a chance on Gordon Hayward and over the past couple of years it simply hasn’t played out as they hoped. He’s battled injuries and while the team has improved, it’s probably time for another change of scenery for Hayward.

Though, the Hornets could find some difficulty in moving Hayward. He still has two years remaining on his contract that will pay him roughly $30 million per season. I’m not sure there will be many teams jumping at the opportunity to do that. Especially with the way injuries have derailed his career recently.

Nevertheless, Hayward is a player that could be more beneficial to a team that is closer to contention. For as much improvement as the Hornets have experienced in recent years, Hayward is no longer the asset for this team as originally thought.
