Will the Golden State Warriors extend Jordan Poole?

Between now and the start of the regular season, the Golden State Warriors will have to decide whether they will extend Jordan Poole now or wait until the next offseason when he could test restricted free agency.

Coming off the season he just had, it’s likely that Poole will be looking for a big, possibly max extension. If the Warriors aren’t willing to give him that, it’s likely that Poole would be better served to wait until next offseason to ink long-term. It’s a risk for both sides, but something that is probably best for both sides.

Poole exploded this season by averaging 19 points and four assists per game on 45 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent shooting from 3-point range. He became a household name this season and played a key role in the team’s championship run.

I suppose the big question is, how much do the Warriors value Poole? We may find out soon enough.
