The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics get the final NBA Christmas Day game in what could end up being an Eastern Conference finals preview.
The final NBA Christmas Day game has been revealed and it will feature the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics facing off. In what could end up being an Eastern Conference Finals preview, the Bucks and Celtics will headline what could be the most highly anticipated game of the day.
Coming off a run to the NBA Finals, the Celtics will be considered one of the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference. And that has been the case for the Bucks since Giannis Antetokounmpo rose to superstardom.
That won’t be any different this season and Milwaukee should be able to pick up where they left off after an injury-plagued season a year ago.
The Bucks lost to these Celtics in the conference semifinals, but who knows how the series would’ve truly ended had Khris Middleton or Robert Williams not been injured.
Nevertheless, this season should offer a new opportunity for both teams. The Celtics will be looking to prove that their core hasn’t hit their ceiling and the Bucks will be looking to bounce back.
Then there’s the whole Kevin Durant situation that can throw a wrench in all of this.
Durant is officially open to a trade to the Celtics and they could be the one team that offers exactly what the Brooklyn Nets want. And they could do so while still maintaining a strong supporting cast to stick around Durant.
There’s no deal imminent, but it’s something else to think about or at least keep in the back of our minds as we inch closer and closer to the start of NBA training camps.
The Celtics and Bucks should offer up a great game and it could end up being the best of the bunch. These are two teams that could end up battling out to see which team represents the East in the NBA Finals.
