1. Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
It’s not surprising that Luka Doncic comes in at No. 1 on this list. Based on everything he’s already accomplished in the league, it’s actually unfair that he’s still just 23 years old. He’s not only the best player age-23 and under, but he’s arguably one of the three best players in the league overall.
Luka is coming off a season in which he helped lead the Mavs to the conference finals and managed to pull that off without a clear second star. For as good as Jalen Brunson was for Dallas, I don’t believe anyone would confuse him with a star. And that’s not meant to be a diss. But that’s part of what makes Luka so great.
Great players have a knack for making everyone around them better. That’s what Luka does. Luka could still be improving as a player and that should be a scary sight for the rest of the league. He’s just getting started and is already one of the best players in the league.
