6. Deandre Ayton, Phoenix Suns
This summer was a complete mess for Deandre Ayton and the Phoenix Suns. After signing an offer sheet with the Indiana Pacers, he’s now back with the Suns. For better or worse, it’s probably the best potential station for Ayton anyways.
Chris Paul has helped Ayton in ways that no other point guard in the league could probably replicate and playing next to Devin Booker has made his life a bit easier as well. Ayton has his weaknesses as a player but is as good as a center as you want for the modern NBA.
Ayton is still getting better and I’m not sure he’s hit his ceiling just yet. Ayton may never be a clear No. 1 or 2, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a very important player for the Suns.
