Sustainability is hard in the NBA

One thing that is clear in the NBA is that sustainability is extremely difficult. Even for the best of the best in the league. And we saw that once again this offseason. The Dallas Mavericks are likely going to take a step back after losing Jalen Brunson. The same could be said about the Miami Heat in losing PJ Tucker.

These are two teams that were playing in the conference finals for a shot at winning the NBA Championship last season. Heading into this year, there’s a chance they could both be first-round playoff exits.

Likewise, the San Antonio Spurs are likely headed toward another difficult season. The Utah Jazz is going to be a shell of themselves too.
