The last dance for Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving?
Heading into the season, there’s a very real chance that this could end up being somewhat of a “Last Dance” for this Brooklyn Nets core. Even though Kevin Durant still has years remaining on his contract, there’s no guarantee he won’t demand a trade once this season ends (or before) and Kyrie Irving is entering the final ear of his contract with the team.
And with the way the offseason took shape, it’s unlikely that he’s going to re-sign with the team. If Kyrie isn’t around, perhaps Durant will want out too. Either way, if this is “The Last Dance” for Kyrie and KD, I fully expect them to go all out.
I believe that we’re going to see the best version of KD and Kyrie when they hit the floor this season. They’ll both be on their best behaviors and the Nets are going to be the biggest beneficiaries of that.
KD and Kyrie are finally going to be the version of players that the Nets believed they were getting when they originally signed with the team a few years ago.
