The continued rise of RJ Barrett

One of the possibilies that the New York Knicks should be excited about is the continued rise of RJ Barrett. Coming off a season in which he averaged 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent shooting from 3-point range, the sky is the limit for Barret heading into this year.

He continues to improve as a defender and could very well end up making the jump to stardom this season. The addtion of Jalen Brunson will certianly help on that front as he should help take some of the offensive load.

Barrett may have just signed an enormous contract but we must also remember that he’s just 22 years old and it’s highly unlikely that he’s played the best basketball of his career just yet. Barrett is still getting better as a player and if he takes the next step in his development this year, he could help take the Knicks to the next level too.
