Can a young Orlando Magic player reach stardom this season?

Looking at how the Orlando Magic performed last season, there are three natural candidates that could be players that “reach stardom” this upcoming season for the team. Those players are Franz Wagner, Cole Anthony, or the rookie Paolo Banchero.

Wagner and Anthony led the Magic in scoring last season and will naturally take an even bigger role for the team headed into this season. Wagner is also coming off a sensational run with Germany in EuroBasket 2022. Anthony will be entering the third season of his NBA career, which is vital for his development.

And Banchero is a natural candidate simply because he was the team’s No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 Draft and considering that he has all the tools to be a star in the NBA – and we saw some of that during the NBA’s Summer League a couple of months ago.

If the Magic are going to make a move up the Eastern Conference standings, there’s a good chance that it will largely coincide with one of these three young players taking their respective games to the next level.
