Zach LaVine’s situation with the Chicago Bulls

I understand the pushback on this prediction. I get it. Zach LaVine just signed a long-term extension with the Chicago Bulls. But who wouldn’t take a $200 million extension if they were throwing it at them? Plus, let’s not act like there wasn’t some uncertainty regarding LaVine’s situation with the Bulls before this offer came across.

If things go south quickly in Chicago, it wouldn’t be surprising by any means if LaVine let the front office know that he would want a change of scenery. And you’d have to believe that LaVine and the Bulls have the type of relationship where it wouldn’t get ugly.

Again, there’s something we have to understand with this particular prediction. This is one that will take time before it comes to fruition, assuming it does.

For one, the Bulls have to get off to a tough start. And that means waiting until Ball makes his return from injury. And then, Chicago will try to retool around LaVine. Once they run out of luck on that front, that’s when we could see some movement from LaVine.

This is a big season for the Bulls. A lot is riding on their ability to return to form this season. Quite frankly, I’m not sure if they’ll be able to.
