21. Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards have to be thankful that Bradley Beal decided to re-sign long-term with the team this offseason. But that doesn’t mean that the work is over for the front office. They now have to continue building around Beal.
Beal will be back healthy and that may be all the Wizards need to get them back in the playoff hunt but this is a team that has only made the playoffs once in the last four years and one that only has one playoff series win since 2016-17.
To catch up with the rest of the Eastern Conference, there’s plenty that the Wizards must do. Kristaps Porzingis is a good player at this point in his career but is far from a supporting star. Washington will need to find alternative ways to improve the roster around Beal if they want to compete (on a championship level) anytime soon.
