4. Phoenix Suns

I’m not completely sold on the Phoenix Suns being a top 5 team this season but you can’t argue with the regular season success that the team has sustained over the last two seasons. And you can make an argument that the reason why they lost in the second round of the playoffs last season was because of untimely injuries.

The team is healthy heading into the start of the season and they will be one of the favorites to start the year in the Western Conference. The concern for the Suns is that they didn’t make any improvements to the roster and there’s a chance Chris Paul could finally take a step back this season.

The Suns are supremely talented but I’m not so sure that there aren’t other teams in the Western Conference that might be better positioned to make a run at the title than Phoenix currently is.
