LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets have had a rough offseason and have some figuring out to do as they continue to try to surround LaMelo Ball with a capable supporting cast. Right now, the Hornets figure to be one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference heading into the 2022-23 NBA season.

And if the Hornets continue down this trend, it wouldn’t at all be surprising if LaMelo Ball asked for a trade. Especially considering the family line that he comes from, Ball could quickly grow tired of losing in a small market.

Ball is dynamic and is just getting started as a player, and the hope is that he still has his best basketball still in front of him, but there’s no guarantee that his future will strictly fall in Charlotte. Maybe he waits until he gets his rookie extension, but I just have this feeling Ball will eventually find his way out of Charlotte.
