Predicting what’s next for the Utah Jazz?

It’s tough to predict what exactly is next for the Utah Jazz. On one hand, the expectation is that the team is going to lean all the way into tanking. Although, that doesn’t mean they can’t make strides on the floor as well. And the one player on the roster that they must try to lean on during the early stages of the rebuild is Collin Sexton.

Sexton was counted out by many teams in the free agent market this past summer. Coming off a knee injury that cost him the majority of the 2021-22 NBA season, Sexton will have the opportunity to reassert himself as an all-star caliber player. And there may not be a better place for him to do it than in Utah.

The Jazz will be in search of a new star that the fanbase can rally around. And Sexton is exactly the type of player that can fill that void for the team. Before his injury, Sexton averaged 24 points and four assists on 48 percent shooting from the field. He was a really good player when given the proper usage and when he was healthy.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can be that again with the Jazz. And that’s something the team should absolutely be looking forward to this season.
