NBA Sixth Man of the Year: Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors

Now that Klay Thompson will likely be back as a full-time starter for the Golden State Warriors this season, that means Jordan Poole will go back to being the team’s Sixth Man. And this is a role in that Poole will continue to excel in.

Poole is coming off a season in which he averaged 18. 5 points and four assists per game. I’m not saying he’s going to put up those types of numbers again but if he can off the bench, there’s no question that he’ll be one of the candidates to win the Sixth Man of the Year award this season.

Poole is also a player that may be playing for a new contract, assuming that he isn’t signed to an extension before the deadline. If that is indeed the case, Poole could very well have the best season of his career thus far – that generally happens during contract years.

Poole for the Sixth Man of the Year seems like a pretty fair bet considering everything that may be on the line for both him and the Warriors.
